Skype sign in forever2/18/2023 If not.I dislike suggesting this, but I'm low on ideas: SkypeUpdate appears a hell of a lot with no errors, but Skype itself doesn't appear at all.Īlright.any other programs having issues? Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can try next?Īh okay, I've found the right area. I've done a complete uninstall and reinstall, I've done a system restore to before the problems arose, I've removed all newly installed programs and I've done a full scan with my antivirus, and I still can't get it to work. I can't seem to do anything to get rid of this icon. When this appears, a Skype process appears in Task Manager that I can't end. I can't left- or right-click it to open any kind of menu, nor can I use it to open a window. On top of all that, I often get an icon in the system tray for a signed-out skype that I can't do anything with. Once I've done so, I might be able to send a couple of messages, but it will quickly give me the infinite loading wheel of doom next to new messages and I can't receive any from others. Now let's say I just try to open it once, or I manage to close all the windows except for the one which actually allow me to sign in. ![]() When these open up, only one of the multiple sign-in screens I have will actually allow me to enter my password into the field, and each one has their own icon in the system tray, so I have to close them that way (which can lead to me closing the working window, as there's no way to differentiate between them). ![]() Or at least, it takes up 30 minutes to do so (at which point I've clicked it multiple times and 5 open at once), and that's just the beginning. Sup Technology peeps, I'm here with another problem for you, this time with Skype.
